Xenops rutilans

The streaked xenops is a small bird featuring reddish-brown plumage with prominent streaking on its head and underparts. It has a distinctive short, upturned bill used to probe bark and decaying wood for invertebrates. It is often seen singly or joining mixed-species flocks in humid montane forests.
