Tachyphonus delatrii

A medium-sized tanager where the male displays mostly black plumage with a striking tawny crown crest. The female has a dull, uniform brownish plumage throughout its body. It inhabits the understory and lower canopy of humid tropical forests, frequently foraging in noisy flocks.
