The Streaked Flycatcher (Myiodynastes maculatus) is a medium-sized passerine bird of the Tyrannidae family. Measuring around 22 centimeters in length, it is distinguished by its heavily streaked brown and black plumage over a whitish or pale yellow background. It features a prominent dark eye-strip and a semi-concealed yellow crown patch. A vocal and highly territorial bird, it inhabits forest edges, secondary woodlands, plantations, and semi-open habitats. It hunts for insects via aerial sallies from exposed perches and supplements its diet with small fruits and berries.
